It's been four years since we were lucky enough to have Andrea start her career with us! From day one Andrea has been passionate about her career and her clients and is a key reason we love to come work. She is fun and a fantastic therapist. She really didn't like that I asked her to pose for a picture though. Here is her bio from our webpage:
Being a small town girl, I decided to do my undergrad at Acadia University in the tiny town of Wolfville, Nova Scotia, graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology with Nutrition degree. I then moved back to Ontario and completed my Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University. Since graduating I have taken a special interest in working with seniors and individuals with neurological and vestibular conditions. Most recently I have been focusing my professional development towards post-concussion and vestibular rehabilitation, taking several courses in this area including advanced vestibular training.
My passion for physiotherapy comes from a desire to help others achieve their goals, be it finally getting rid of that nagging shoulder pain, or optimizing recovery from a stroke. I center my practice around client’s personal rehabilitation goals, designing an individualized program in order to work together to obtain those goals. I find being a therapist rewarding, knowing I can facilitate clients to function at their upmost potential.
In my free time, I try to spend as much time as I can outside. I love taking advantage of Peterborough’s great trail system, skiing, snowshoeing, biking and hiking.
