Changes that you will see....

Updated: May 27, 2020

Great news! We will be opening again on June 1st!

Infection control has always been important to us at Active Living, as you have seen in your previous appointments. We have enhanced our infection control procedures to help protect our clients and team members.  Here are a few of the changes that you will see:

  • We will be conducting Wellness Screenings with each of our clients and team members as the enter they clinic.

  • We will ask everyone to use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting our building.

  • To maintain physical distancing, we will be restricting the number of people in the clinic at one time. We will also ask family members and care givers to wait in their car, when it is possible.

  • We are minimizing all waiting room time by asking for credit card or other payment options up front. This will be saved securely at our payment processor so that Chelsey can bill you after your appointment efficiently. Your therapist will book you in for your return appointments.

  • You will get to see Chelsey’s smiling face through a plexiglass shield.

  • We will be providing masks for clients as needed and our therapists will be wearing masks when coming within the 2-metre distance restriction.

  • Although we have a large area, our therapists will be meeting each day to discuss the best use of our space during their appointments to ensure each of our clients have their own physical space.

  • Cleaning and laundry policies have been updated to make sure all surfaces are safe within the clinic and the physiotherapy gym.

  • We will continue to enhance policies and procedures as suggested by the government and our governing bodies (Ontario College of Physiotherapists and College of Massage Therapists of Ontario). After opening and seeing how smoothly everything runs, we will make appropriate changes to protect our Active Living family.

  • We will also continue to offer virtual appointments. When appropriate, we may suggest virtual appointments even after a 1:1 assessment.

Although things may be different for a time, we value your patience while we work to deliver exceptional physiotherapy, massage therapy and exercise therapy during this time. We are excited to be able to return to our operations soon and look forward to seeing you all again!

Sincerely,

Your Active Living Physiotherapy team
